Richard Klotz (Mar 4, 2008)

"i am someone who has gone to many ny tech meetups. its NOT many things and it IS many things. You can do many things while you are at one. yet its is simply "On the 1st Tuesday each month at 7PM, 6 people get 5 minutes each to demo something cool to New York's tech community (geeks, investors, entrepreneurs, hackers, etc)" and it does a GREAT job of being what it is. now what you, or she, or he wants it to be. that may or may not be a tall order. I understand when you move to IAC from someplace like cooper union things carry a different connotation, but Scott does a great job doing what he always has. The meetup is successful because of just that. 7-6-5! NY TECH meetup."

Steve Rosenbaum (Apr 3, 2007)

"I love this Meetup, both the content and the attendees. I think it'd be VERY MUCH worth spending time and money to iron-out the technical issues to enable proper audio and wireless Internet. This is a demo-centric tech meetup, after all. Thx for listening...."

Matt Baum (Feb 8, 2007)

"very good- i will definately go back"

jenine (Feb 7, 2007)

"I think you need to spice up the format a bit. First suggestion is to have a meetup every two months, you can get much better speakers that way. I like the idea of something along the lines of the instructables guy -- talking about a concept and not really demoing a web 2.0 business. I think there are a lot of interesting people willing to give a mini 5 minute talk on a tech related concept. Perhaps some spoken editorials, experience anecdotes, emerging trends, social behavior, etc. I think that scott is a great mc. I think its funny when he sums up the presenter's long winded self explanation down to about 4 words. I think that he should engage the audience more. For example, I think that some members in the audience are pretty interesting. If a guy is asking some pretty interesting questions, Scott could ask him to come up to the stage and introduce himself -- or interview him. I think that would be very entertaining and interesting. I have more thoughts. not enough charactrs!"

Setpixel (Feb 7, 2007)

"There seem to be some great folks at the meetup. I look forward to the next one!"

Jonathan Powell (Jan 11, 2007)

"keep it up "

Bob V (Jan 10, 2007)

"First meeting. Not bad. Companies are not as early stage as I thought. Overall, great experience."

"The group is fantastic. "

MIKE LEWIS (Jan 10, 2007)

"Will defifinitely go to future NY tech meetups."

"Really solid. Will definitely be back."

Christopher Wilson (Jan 10, 2007)

"Everyone was cool."

Ron (Jan 9, 2007)

"I've come to a couple meetings and think they are great. I wonder if we couldn't add a bulletin board for individuals who are looking to connect - looking for collaborators on the technical or business front etc. I find that it's hard to actually talk to people during this event and meeting at a bar afterwards is not always the best way either. Thanks either way for putting on a great event."

Travis (Jan 9, 2007)

"Lot of smart dudes and a few dudettes."

Alvis (Jan 9, 2007)

"I'll definitely be attending the meetups to come!"

"all smart passionate people"

Leon (Jul 12, 2006)

"Thanks for organizing it, and keep doing what you're doing! In Silicon Valley, I used to attend the accu-usa.org's monthly group. They had 1-2 hour long presentations, often introductions, to technical topics. I learned a tremendous amount there in the 3 years I attended, and still haven't found an equivalent club here. If this group spins one like that off, I'd like to hear about it."

Shawn (Jun 7, 2006)

"-Scott H.'s idea of branching into other tech areas such as power and biotech at the next NY Tech Meetup I feel is a bad idea. Maybe this group should be renamed the New Web/Internet tech group. I attended to learn about new Web companies. Learning about other industries would be largly irrelevant to me and many of the current attendees I would imagine. "

Scott Kendall (Jun 6, 2006)

"Very intersting, ggod to see that tech is back in NYC"

Lloyd Trufelman (Jun 6, 2006)

"I'll be back"

Sean Hull (Feb 8, 2006)

"It has been suggested that groups should splinter off on specific topics - I am not sure if this is to maybe to reduce the size of this group? If it is then I think people like the fact that this is so wide open topic wise and maybe it should be run more often to reduce the numbers if they become out of control for the venues we have. "

Andy Lister (Feb 8, 2006)

"We were told to meetup afterwards for drinks at New Gate Tavern. Turned out the venue was closed. It's Newgate-gate! HEHE. great event, thanks."

Benjamin Bloom (Feb 8, 2006)

"Perfect!! Can't ask for more."

Raj Kumar (Feb 8, 2006)

"scott's the man. and it's so nice to meet lots of people with great ideas. the growth of this group ultimately makes me wonder when it will dissolve into smaller groups and what groups those will be"

Mark Canlas (Feb 7, 2006)

"Please do not split up this group! It's great to get a number of very different interests and topics in one session, diversity of profiles is the necessary condition for brainstorming and networking."

Delph (Feb 7, 2006)

"Good group!"

Bruce Colwin (Jan 13, 2006)

"again, great time. but drive home "show, don't tell"...so people don't get bored."

durjoy bhattacharjya (Jan 4, 2006)

"I love the fact that it is so vauge, that going in I really didn't know what to expect, and at next month's meeting, the affair could easily be entirely different."

Simon Hova (Jan 3, 2006)

"Nice group. A mixed bag if there ever was one. Not sure if my technology fits in, but I'll give it a try."

Ira (Jan 3, 2006)

"Technologists looking to share ideas and network. I found the group to be very friendly and the technology presentations were all very interesting and informative. This is a really innovative group of people. Overall, a pretty impressive group."

Suzanne Hitcho (Dec 7, 2005)

"An interesting evening for anyone interested in technology"

Thatcher Bell (Dec 7, 2005)

"I have attended one event and it was very impressive. I would recommend the group to anyone interested in new technology."

Ellyssa (Nov 3, 2005)

"keep on cracking that 5 min whip"

David (Nov 1, 2005)

"This group seems to be more about promotion then about new technology, which is cool, but misleading. I was expecting to see more discussion about how and what is being done on the internet and less of this is what I'm trying to sell you."

Avi Flombaum (Nov 1, 2005)

"It's technology with a soul."

Jeffrey Galusha (Sep 7, 2005)

"I did enjoy the presentations, but unfortunately didn't have time to hang out afterwords"

Boris Boroda (Jun 8, 2005)

"this meetup is now shrinking in size, but the new size feels better and remaining people seem higher in quality. "

Andrew Erlichson (Jun 7, 2005)

"Excelent group. Looking forward to more meetings."

Dean Landsman (Apr 22, 2005)

"create a more formal and organized networking hour."

Raj Telukuntla (Apr 21, 2005)

"concerned that if it gets any bigger it should be broken up into multiple meetup groups, otherwise it might become too unwieldy."

Roger Ehrenberg (Apr 21, 2005)

"This Meetup Group is destined to become one of the most useful and successful of all."

William (Mar 5, 2005)
