    • “ lots of good companies - some like the mushy gushy and styky had obvious privacy and photo rights issues but hey, it was interesting. The digicash product seemed interesting but the very thick accent of the presenter made it hard to understand. Since there are a lot of non-american tech entrepeneurs out there, perhaps Scott can gently (as gently as Scott can :-) convey that the presenter need not be the founder but someone who has a clear speaking voice that can be understood easily by a largely american audience. ”
    • “ The night was kind of lame. Presenters should NOT be allowed to continue without a real life demo of their product. No more videos with corny animations and a lame voiceover by the founder. Also the crowd has been too quiet the past few months, there used to be a lot more heckling and speaking up. This is New York, when did everyone become so quiet and domicile? I didn't notice a name change, but this has become the Business Pitch 2.0 Meetup, it would be great to have the companies actually talk about some of the technologies they are using and not just go on and on about potential business partnerships they are hoping/wishing to form. Seriously do we need another site to organize videos? ”

    • “ As a business person, these tues (wed) eve sessions are starting to take on some of the things that sunk silicon alley last time- 2 of the 5 pitches I think had decidedly altruistic/non profit make the world wonderful themes- the others we'll make money from advertising, stupid- Not to say these are not good goals, but I wonder if these are representative of the community or filtered by the team a bit- Its a huge entreprenaur audience ( good ) and maybe its not meetups role to coach and educate but (opinion) shaping their minds and attitudes a bit might be a service to the community... ergo do the 5 business startups but add an adult component- maybe a speaker at the end on one or two topics-- good to hear scott set the you can't ask revenue model goals-- if we want to grow tech in ny, then reach out- I am sure some of the SUN,IBM, execs would volunteer to speak on days they are in the city- Is someone reaching out to them? ”

    • “ A couple of things: First, clearly the event wasn't sold out and yet the website claimed 500 people were scheduled to attend. Would suggest more truth in advertising. Second, the idea that you can only ask one question in an evening is silly. BTW, a few people asked more than one question. Lastly, business models or revenue generation is an important part of the entrepreneurial process. Excluding this question is strange to say the least. ”
