At one job, we had half a dozen people working off of a Sun box through VNC sessions. The box was up for over a year at one point. Desktops are more prone to errors requiring reboot - often because of the user and what they do. It's not a COMPLETELY managed system. The only checkbox for operating system is for a version of Vista. I was trying to price out a Dell a few days ago and I would have had to buy Vista with it.
