This will be the very first Meetup for The San Francisco New Technology Meetup Group! Please know, we're not expecting these Meetups to be "Web 2.0" show and tell sessions... although some of that stuff can be cool. These Meetups are more about how new technologies are making the world a better place. Before we get immersed in exploring -- we'll learn more about your online attention -- and how some folks are using it without your knowledge or permission. Ed Batista, executive director of Attention Trust will explain how your attention is being leveraged by various online services. Attention Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the basic rights of attention owners. http://www.attentiont... Unfortunately, iStumbler, had to cancel. If you'd like to demo your new tech product or service, we've got an open slot. This Meetup will be at the Mars Bar in SOMA. They should have wifi up and running. They also serve cold drinks and yummy food. Interested in hosting the SF New Tech Meetup? Interested in doing a demo at the SF New Tech Meetup? Contact me at [masked]

I loved thinking about the possibilities and implications of attention data. I'll definitely be paying attention to its growth as a technological field.
