FINALLY...the Santa Cruz chapter of the New Tech Alliance MeetUp will have its inaugural meeting on Wednesday, Feb 27!

On deck for Wednesday night presentations are:

  • SugarCRM - find out more about why the press believes SugarCRM will be the next big Silicon Valley IPO. Learn from Martin Schneider Dir Marketing about OpenSource and the trend away from legacy closed-software models.

  • Soquel Group - need help with your patent process? Wondering what to do with your patent now that you have it? Rob Blumberg will discuss patent development, and how to expand your patent portfolio value.
  • RideSpring - looking for a better commute at your company? Learn from Paul McGrath CEO, how a local Santa Cruz clean tech startup is providing a web service to companies that are searching for a more flexible and rewarding alternative to the solo drive commute.

The agenda for this MeetUp mirrors the Palo Alto MeetUp: 1) Opening remarks by the Organizer; 2) Presentations by two to four companies. Each company has 5 minutes to present, then 5 minutes of Q&A; 3) Open Forum / networking - anyone can make their pitch: e.g., looking for money, job, employees, advice, ideas, etc. Pizza and beverage will be provided; first come first serve. This is a great way to network with other high tech professionals and to keep your pulse on some of the hot new technologies coming our way. Looking forward to meeting with you. Doug Erickson
