The NY Technology Sales and Marketing Meetup

A Meetup for those involved in selling and marketing technology to businesses and other organizations. The objective is make this an event and forum to share information, experiences and challenges and to learn best practices to overcome those challenges such as getting into key accounts and cultivating key accounts. Each Meetup will be in the format of a facilitated problem solving session. Bring your brain and expect it to be engaged, voice, ears, and enthusiasm. Expect to have to think, listen, contribute, and learn. No cynics or wallflowers please and don't come expecting a tea and sympathy evening. The Meetup is also for those who may not currently be in technology sales or marketing roles but are entrepreneurs who need to be able to sell and market technology or professionals who believe they have what it takes to make it in technology sales and marketing e.g. currently in a technical sales support or sales engineering role. The first Meetup's theme is Selling Technology in a Down NY Economy: new challenges and smart ways to keep the sales coming in. It can be difficult enough to get a prospect on the phone or set up an appointment at the best of times but with the economy in the doldrums and the financial sector in disarray the challenges of getting in front of prospects or even finding them in New York is becoming that much more difficult.
